We’re Engaged!

I have found the one whom my soul loves. My best friend.

We had the best evening with our amazing friend, Katy Elaine Photography, exploring downtown for some engagement photos. She made us laugh so much, our faces hurt when the session was over.

We are no strangers the awkwardness that comes from being in front of the camera- we totally get it. But, we knew that the photos would only be better if we just let all of that fall away and tried to be ourselves.

Being engaged is definitely a fun process. You are experiencing so many new firsts, dreaming up your wedding together, and planning for the near future. You learn even better how to teamwork + support each other. You learn how to love each other better, more selflessly. Jacob is the biggest blessing I’ll ever know. He helped me grow as a person. He taught me what true joy really is.

With my love for photos, I talked Jacob into doing two engagement sessions. How lucky am I that he agreed to both?! It was so neat to travel down to Tulsa, Oklahoma and experience a session with the person that would be our wedding photographer. Rachel Scroggs is so fun! I’m pretty sure we were laughing or singing along to The Lumineers the entire session! It was the perfect Fall day to snuggle in nature.
