ANGEL’S LANDING

These two! I am so incredibly blessed to know Kylee + Andrew. I actually met these two over social media back in 2017. I was coming to Portland, Oregon and needed some cute people to take photos of. I found Kylee on social media and knew that I had to have these two in front of my lens- they were so adorable. I reached out & thank goodness, she said they would be totally up for doing photos. We had an amazing session in Portland, I felt like I had just gained two amazing friends in one evening.

Kylee and I kept in contact, vowing to plan a trip together and get more photos again sometime soon. Months later… Andrew had popped the question!! They were engaged!! I was so dang excited for them. These two are just made to be with each other. I was completely ecstatic when Kylee messaged me saying that she absolutely wanted me to come out to California to capture their wedding and they wanted to plan a trip somewhere for their engagement photos.

I was already heading to Zion National Park in Utah for a workshop, so we planned to make a camping/hiking trip out of it for their engagement photos. It was absolutely perfect way to let these two be right in their element for their photos. They travel, explore, camp, hike anytime they can. We were stoked! Zion is absolutely breathtaking, each turn jaw-dropping. The hikes are pretty neat with gorgeous views at the end. We planned to go up to Angels Landing the first day really early to beat the crowds. This hike was AMAZING. It was definitely challenging for a Kansas girl, but K+A were so kind. They had no complaints when I had to stop to catch my breath every couple of minutes and let me tell you, these two are amazing hikers. We hiked up 1,500 feet in elevation gain in 2.5 miles, after already being there half a week for a workshop, I was tired. The view and getting to capture these two in front of one of the most beautiful backdrops was more than worth it. One of the best days.

Cheers to the sweetest day!
