The Cantrell’s
I finally got to marry my best friend on the most beautiful December day. We chose to do an intimate wedding on a Thursday afternoon with some of our closest people.
We got all dressed up, spent the day with the people we love, celebrated, and soaked in the fact that we were getting married! To some people, it seems strange that we did a very small wedding since I am a wedding photographer. We did what was right for us + are so happy we did.
It was perfect.
The details were all very simple, yet intentional + very fun to put together.

We traveled down to Tulsa, Oklahoma to get married at The Spain Ranch. The owners were nothing short of wonderful + the venue was absolutely perfect! We felt so cared for the entire process, the team made our small day feel so important. The getting ready rooms were some of the best we’ve ever seen- seriously gorgeous. It is just so unique and different, they’ve really thought of the little things that can be overlooked. They were the best.

The bouquet from Eversomething was absolutely stunning
-
My dress from Dress Gallery in Wichita, Kansas. It was everything I’ve ever dreamed of.
-
Jacob’s custom suit from Jos. A. Bank. He looked amazing.
-
The decorations were from Action Tent Rental in Wichita and put together by my wonderful mother. The candlelit atmosphere was so gorgeous.
-
Adney Artistry made me feel absolutely beautiful, my makeup + hair was perfect. She is such a wonderful person, talking with her as she got me ready that morning was so calming.

Of course, we picked Rachel Scroggs Photography for our photos. Being wedding photographers, we understood the value of having amazing photos to look back on, and ours turned out absolutely perfect! Her work is displayed throughout this entire post. She’s so fun + personable!
We did a first look. I remember not being able to wait for this moment, I just couldn’t wait to see my soon-to-be husband. It was absolutely perfect. Being able to see each other and spend a few minutes just us was the best thing.
Our ceremony was officiated by one of our best friends. Having someone you are close to marry you is the best thing! It can be so much more personal, you feel like the person leading you through your vows actually knows you.
We both went from smiling to tearing up while saying our vows. The weight of those promises really sank in, it is a continual “I will” every single day. I will choose to love you every single morning, every single struggle, every single piece of who you are.
We had a very small number of people join us, and it was absolutely perfect. We actually got to talk to + spend time with the people that took time to come witness our wedding.
Tacos were a must, along with cake made by our family friend (like the only cake I actually love!). We opted for coffee mugs since we pretty much live off of coffee.
Sharing a first dance was incredibly special + absolutely one of my favorite parts of the day. Swaying back and forth in the middle of the room with my best friend, new husband, is a moment that will forever make me break into the biggest smile.
I was told that I couldn’t stop smiling the entire day. I had just made the best decision of my life.
We were finally married.
Cheers to the sweetest day!
