Canyon Overlook
After a day of camping out in Zion National Park with these two, I knew that I had met two of the kindest humans ever. Kylee + Andrew are two adventurous souls. They travel any chance they can get, hike wherever there is a trail, and love on others whenever they get the chance. Camping is one of their love languages. When the weather is lovely, you can find them camping almost every weekend. They just love the outdoors and being connected to nature. They even let me borrow a tent and all the camping supplies I would need while we were there- I totally wouldn’t have survived without them (especially when we woke up to frost on our tents in the morning). We hiked trails, they cooked some delicious food, we explored the National Park buildings, drank wine together, shared stories, planned some of their wedding that was going to be in California, and gained friends for life.
The day we planned on going to the Canyon Overlook spot for photos, we happened to find out that the direct road to that trail had been blocked off due to a rockfall. We were determined to get this beautiful location though, so we drove almost 2 hours there and 2 hours back that night. It was SO worth it. It started out cloudy and then the sun broke through to give us some gorgeous light to end our session. We forgot the second white dress in the truck… and Andrew was kind enough to hike all the way back to get it for us. Like, how dang kind! As we were driving back to our campsite, we stopped on the side of the road to capture some gorgeous sunset shots, then night shots.
The joy I see that these two have for each other makes my heart swell. It is obvious they are so in love. I can’t wait for their California wedding!
